What is Restylane Lip Volume?
Restylane Lip Volume is a gel of hyaluronic acid generated by Streptococcus species of bacteria used to add fullness and volume to lips.
How does Restylane Lip Volume work?
Restylane Lip Volume is specifically used to give a sublte lift to both the body of the lip as well as the contours.
What is Restylane Lip Volume made of?
Restylane Lip Volume is made of a biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid.
Restylane Lip Volume is created with a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid or NASHA. This product is specifically formulated for use in the lips, and has a lower molecule density than other Restylane products. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring chemical in the human body, which binds water molecules together beneath the skin, strengthening, filling and volumizing. Restylane replaces this chemical, as it is lost during the ageing process, leading to sagging skin which lacks volume. Restylane restores a more natural, youthful looking appearance.
What are its main uses?
Restylane Lip Volume is intended for use in the lips such as: filling of the lips, volume enhancement and lip contouring. As it is composed for shallow dermal use and lip use, it is not recommended for use in other portions of the face.
What are the side effects of Restylane Lip Volume?
Most HA based treatments cause minimal side effects, and Restylane products are quite safe and unlikely to trigger unwanted effects. Restylane Lip Volume is formulated for use with the lips, meaning it should cause only minimal swelling or bruising. If side effects such as mild swelling, bruising, stinging, lumps and bumps in the injection site or some numbness are experienced, they are generally minimal and subside within a few hours. Should side effects persist for longer than a few hours post treatment, you should consult with your doctor as soon as possible.
What should I expect upon using Restylane Lip Volume?
Restylane works by replenishing the hyaluronic acid which is slowly lost overtime as the skin ages. In lips, Restylane works by adding volume and filling thinning skin. It rejuvenates and adds volume to the skin by binding water molecules, plumping and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Restylane plumps and fills without overfilling or creating an unnatural appearance.
What is the average treatment cost?
Treatment costs vary depending on region, amount of product needed for your desired results and your doctor’s costs for treatment. For the most accurate estimate, consult with your doctor directly.
When will I see results?
Upon completion of treatment you will immediately see results. Restylane is a filler which immediately plumps and fills lips upon injection, meaning your will see a noticeable difference in the size and shape of your lips. Be mindful that bruising and swelling may occur and you will not see the final shape until the swelling goes down completely.
How long do results last?
Depending on the facial area being treated, Restylane’s effects can last anywhere between 3 to 6 months. There is no guaranteed result, as the lifespan of the effects will depend on the individual’s metabolism, the movement in the areas involved and external factors. Restylane fillers tend to last longer in areas which aren’t subject to regular movements. In lips, Lip Volume generally lasts between 3-6 months.
Does the treatment hurt?
Restylane is composed of hyaluronic acid, which is one of the safest dermal filler components available on the market. This composition minimizes the risk of allergic reaction or any other hypersensitive reactions. Some discomfort or pain may be experienced by patients during treatment, though this is minimal as the treatment is intended to be quick and efficient.
Can I do it myself?
Our company does not sell cosmetic products to the general public, and we do not advocate for self-use of any cosmetic treatment. Improper injection of any dermal filler or cosmetic product can permanently damage or scar your face and skin. Our company sells cosmetic and medical products to licenced medical professionals only, and require a valid licence number with every purchase.
Is the product safe?
Restylane products are approved for use in Canada and worldwide, with over 20 million patients treated around the world. As Restylane products are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance, they pose virtually no risk of allergic reaction or sensitivities to the product. HA formulated fillers do not affect facial expressions like most neurotoxin based fillers, and do not restrict natural muscle functioning. As with any dermal filler, they should not be used by people with previous allergies or adverse reactions to the product or any of it’s components.
